Caroline Kennedy cautions senators, calling cousin RFK Jr. a 'predator'

Caroline Kennedy Urges Senate to Reject RFK Jr. as Health Secretary, Calling Him a ‘Predator’

Caroline Kennedy has urged U.S. senators to reject her cousin, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as the next Secretary of Health and Human Services, warning in a scathing letter that he is unfit for the role.

The letter, released Tuesday and shared on social media, was sent ahead of RFK Jr.'s Senate confirmation hearing on Wednesday.

"I have known Bobby my whole life; we grew up together," Kennedy wrote. "It's no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as pets because he himself is a predator."

She argued that her cousin’s controversial views on vaccines disqualify him from leading the nation’s health agencies, including the CDC and FDA. RFK Jr., a longtime vaccine skeptic, has falsely linked vaccines to autism, though he recently stated he does not intend to ban them.

In a video accompanying the letter, Kennedy said she felt compelled to speak out due to concerns about the high-profile position RFK Jr. would hold in a potential Trump administration. President Trump, meanwhile, has praised his nominee, saying he will "make America great and healthy again" by restoring trust in U.S. health institutions.

Kennedy also raised serious allegations about her cousin’s character, claiming he has a history of preying on vulnerable parents of sick children while privately vaccinating his own kids. She further accused him of encouraging family members toward substance abuse. RFK Jr. has previously admitted to struggles with heroin addiction and pleaded guilty in 1984 to smuggling the drug onto a plane.

Additionally, she cited a past accusation of animal cruelty, alleging that RFK Jr. once put baby chickens and mice into a blender to feed his hawks, creating what she described as "a perverse scene of despair and violence."

Kennedy, a former U.S. ambassador to Japan and Australia, concluded that her father, President John F. Kennedy, and uncle, Robert F. Kennedy, would be "disgusted" by RFK Jr.'s actions.

RFK Jr., who briefly ran as an independent presidential candidate before endorsing Trump, has yet to respond to the allegations.
